Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Naive, ignorant and dishonest
I bought this, er, book when it was first released many moons ago when I was a card-carrying young earth creationist! After actually studying some serious scientific literature regarding the theory of evolution and the age of the earth, I realized what a bill of goods I'd been sold. I now have kids of my own and would never consider filling their impressionable minds with this pseudo-scientific brain-rot. I still firmly believe in God but accept the fact that 'descent with modification' figured prominently in His creative process.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - An exceedingly dishonest book
You need this book. Where else can you find out that in the Garden of Eden all the dinosaurs were friendly, herbivorous and under Adam's control? The book even has a large illustration of dragons (i.e. dinosaurs) pulling a Chinese Royal Chariot way back when. It has another fine illustration [I think it's an actual period photo] of two sauropods entering the ark just ahead of an Indian Elephant. The book explains how the Bible repeatedly mentions dinosaurs (though it does so in somewhat veiled terms). We also learn that many of the dinosaurs died and were fossilized as a result of Noah's world wide flood. After the flood the remaining dinosaurs were afraid of man. They were no longer as trusting and obedient [a possible problem when one considers the large carnivores]. However, that may well have not been a problem at all. You see, Taylor explains that new evidence leads us to believe that Tyrannosaurus Rex was likely slow, walked hunched over and waddled like a duck. Taylor suggests that perhaps the T Rex was mostly a plant eater and if he did eat meat, was likely a scavenger rather than a killer. -Lots more where that came from - This book is a treasure trove. --------------Talk about altering reality to fit one's world view! Obviously, some fundamentalists will not hesitate to use dishonesty as a tool for the 'cause of righteousness'. As one can see from the many positive reviews this book has received, the writer did not under-estimate the naivety and gullibility of his readership. Likely, with real science so clearly undermining their position, his readers are desperate for answers that support their view. No matter how outlandish and unfounded these 'answers' may be, the alternative would be to reconsider some fundamental beliefs. -And then what if the whole fabric starts to unravel? ...No it is better to believe a lie than the truth if the truth looks to take you where you dare not go.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Dinosaurs in the Bible!
I love that I can read a book about Dinosaurs to my children and not have to edit out the parts the evolutionists have manipulated into so many dinosaur books. This is a wonderful book for Bible believing families with children who like dinosaurs!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - A miraculous book! I can't praise it enough!
This book is an excellent choice for parents who want to teach their kids that marketing material written by late bronze-age shepherds is the fundamental basis for a science textbook, in fact, for ALL science textbooks. Those kids will be well-prepared for careers in the competitive world of 4th century technology. Should those kids go on to an AP Biology course or, shudder, college, they will have to un-learn the entire contents of this little tome, but no mind: they will understand that their faith rests on contradicting the work of thousands of real scientists over the last hundred years. If the material in this book were correct, the author would be in line for a Nobel prize. Too bad. It is not only grossly misunderstood and misrepresented science, it is also lame theology. This book will appeal to a fraction of poorly-educated literalists who want their kids to follow in their footsteps; enlightened Christians, Catholics who accept evolution, and members of other denominations will want to look elsewhere for explanations of why the dinosaurs are no longer traipsing through the Garden.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A book that challenges
Even though I am a Christian, I was afraid that this book would be very right winged to the point that it would make far fetched claims. However, I am very happy to say that that is just not the case.

If you are looking for a book that QUESTIONS as well as CHALLENGES the claim to "know it all, fact-finding scientific theory of our day", than this is it. Finally, a book that presents the process of HOW modern day scientists come to their conclusions, as well as showing HOW mistakes in the evidence can be easily made. One example in the book is how the author describes digging up bones is like trying to put together a massive jigsaw puzzle and how the bones of one skeleton can be mixed in with the others. Or even worse, finding a skull of a skeleton 3 or 4 miles away from the skeleton they are trying to complete! Even when more than one set of skeletal remains are close to one another, it's obvious that the smartest and most skillful person can make a mistake and claim the bones belong with the wrong set. Why don't they mention these kinds of mistakes in classroom textbooks?

Unfortunately, we live in a time where evolution is taught as TRUTH instead of THEORY and IDEAS and we are warping young minds by not presenting the WHOLE truth by stating that evolution is a THEORY as well as explaining how difficult a task it is for those digging up the bones and how they don't always get it right.

This book is very much down to earth and is not making false claims. Another thing I like about the book is how it mentions that the dinosaurs are God's creation. It is geared more for ages 12 and below.

If you are looking for a book that challenges the evolutionist theory and encourages children to think for themselves instead of believe everything they are told, then this is the book. However, if you are looking for a book that tries to get kids not to think on their own, and believe everything they are told, then look for a classroom textbook on evolution. By the way, evolution IS a a belief system. We all have to believe in something, the question is "What?".
