Rating: - Excellent for "what to do" and reviewI found this pocket sized book indispensible for ER rotations since it gives you a USEFUL concise one page review of commonly encountered emergencies. Each diagnosis goes through etiology, presentation, physical exam, differential, recommended imaging/labs and disposition options. Use this as a memory aid if you are a resident and as a med student to look like a star! Granted Tintanelli is way more expansive and detailed, but not as portable. I do NOT recommend this as your sole option during a rotation for learning the theory and details behind everything because it will tell you what to do without alot of why. ALSO, KEEP IN MIND the latest edition is from 2002! The basics don't change much, but I would still love to see a new edition! page 1 of 1
