- A Cancer Battle PlanThis is an excellent book for both cancer victims and their families. Not only does is provide hope to the hopeless, it offers advice on how to support the cancer victim and thier family. It provides some insight into alternative treatment for cancer. It is not intented to give specific protocols or treatment plans. It does however provide resources to help explore the options and offers some idea of what to expect. I recommend this book to anyone who is dealing with cancer. Rating: - Another hopeless case helpedI, too, was a hopeless case. Diagnosed with breast cancer to the liver almost two years ago. I was told I would live 6 month with no treatment and might extend my life two years with treatment but that the cancer would never go away. A friend suggested this book and it gave me hope. I looked for all the areas I could find hope and believe me anyone diagnosed with a terminal disease needs hope. I did not follow everything in the book but I was able to see that diet and the immune system was going to be an intergral part of my cure. I wouldn't say it holds all the answers, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a diagnosis of cancer. She simply shared what she did and how she did it. I did it a little differently, but I have had two normal liver scans. I did do conventional therapy as well as natural therapy and diet, concentrating on building up the immune system. Just remember, your doctor does not have the last word on whether you survive - he makes a diagnosis but you do not have to accept his prognosis. Rating: - I would rate this book a "10" if I couldThis book is worth its weight in gold. Anyone who has been diagnosed with any form of cancer should read this book PRIOR to accepting treatment in the medical world. With the proper cooperation between medical doctors and naturopathy, many people could be healed without enduring the hardship of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Who wouldn't want to avoid that if they could? I have purchased so many copies of this book and handed them out because I believe in what it says, and I know it to be true. Rating: - Answer to phil's uneducated rantings. First of all Anne would have died 10 years or more ago if she didn't do what she did. The reason she died was because Conventional medicine damaged her liver to the point that nothing would help. The fact that she got 10 glorious years is a miracle in itself. 2ndly, What rock are you living under. Anne death was publicized. I heard about it right after it happened. I suggest you read the work of Max Gerson M.D. He stated from the very begining. If the liver is too far gone you cannot heal. People like you make me so mad. You have no idea what you are talking about and you are turning people away from a real chance for a cure. This book is absolutly amazing. She is living proof that Gods food can and will heal even the most severly damaged body subjected to the to horrible, damaging and deadly effects of the pharmacutical companies that are just trying to get rich at the expense of our health. Rating: - The Remedy Helped(?) but The Patient Died! When all is said and done, perhaps the best way to rate this book is to realize that the author with cancer who originally co-authored this first book, Anne Fraham, eventually died, which I did not realize until after I had read the book. Many people, like me, probably don't know that, because it isn't highly published anywhere. I mean - if you are a family member and you are still taking in royalties off the book, would YOU publish that fact very openly, or sort of "mention it" maybe in a discreet note somewhere? When an author writes about a treatment that extends their life, that is well and good for them, but it shouldn't be a "temporary fix", and it shouldn't be forgotten that this case reminds me of that of Neil Ruzic who wrote the book, "Racing to a Cure." It is sad that Neil died from his cancer not long after he wrote his book - so much for his treatment "remedy." Yet Neil's book is still on the market and most people who buy the book have no idea that Neil died. Now - if thousands of people were reading "The Cancer Battle Plan," and getting completely cured, that would be something worth reviewing, but as far as I am concerned, even if the author extends their life by their "treatment," their death makes a real STATEMENT about how successful they really are! I am all for cleansing, but I am not for the coffee enemas. I believe there are too many other excellent natural ways to cleanse the colon efficiently without coffee enemas. For one thing, if you use the coffee enemas without using decaffeinated coffee (Ann recommended caffeinated coffee!), there are so many people with heart irregularities that this can be very dangerous for them to consume caffeine in any form that can be absorbed into the bloodstream and affect the heart! This can be deadly for them! There are also at least a dozen other books newly on the market fighting cancer from an alternative health standpoint, which outrank this one a hundred to one and their authors are still very much alive and well! Common sense tells me, after reading this book, I'm shelving it! In association with Amazon.com | |
