 - I Passed with a 60!This REA book is a little out of date re the test content. A good portion of the test is much more difficult than what is in this book (and the stuff in this book is hard). I ran through these practice tests a few times and it got me warmed up. I also used College Algebra Demystified but (at the time) I thought that was too advanced and graph-based but I was wrong. Gotta know the graphs! My biggest beef with this book was the CD. Before I got Vista it worked fine. Now I can't use it on my Vista pc. I fully expected that REA would have a patch/update but nope, nada. So I had to run it on a computer with older software. I give it 4 stars because it did get the job done, but this book is not up to par with other REA books. CLEP Pointer: I didn't know how to solve about half of the questions on the test (no joke). I just "marked" the ones I didn't know and moved on. Then at the end I came back to look at those and it was pretty helpful - a few were easier to solve after I had been working on others for a while. All together I studied for solid 2 days. Good luck! Rating: - Excellent reviewBoth the book and the CD are excellent sources of information and practice! I did very well on my Clep exam and ended of passing because you get to practice the tests that look and feel like the real Clep exam. The CD was my favorite part because not only are you timed, but they explain each answer after the test. After completion of the practice test it shows what score you have and where you need to improve. I highly recommend this book to anyone attempting to Clep College Algebra!!! Rating:  - This is not the best book for college algebraI took the test today and I realized this book isnt that good. The tests in the book do not cover the real CLEP exam. In the exam,I found a lot of problems I dont know . I passed the exam with 54/80. It doesnt look good, but I passed it!!. Rating: - good bookThe book is handy for last minute algebra prep. I passed.
