 - A Great Step by Step GuideThis book really is for beginners but a great book to have. I am 15 years old and it taught me alot about horse handling. My favorite part of the book was about what kind of tack to use. It gave basic knowledge about horses which was very useful. Rating:  - Good book for all ages!I'm 13 years old and found this book very helpful! It teaches you bathing,grooming and proper horse handleing.I would recommend this book to novice and experienced! Rating:  - Very simplistic, good for beginnerSimple horse care - for example how to lift up a hoof but now how to clean it! Rating: - Book for NovicesThis is a good book for first horse owners or leasers of basically sound horses. The photographs were very helpful in illustrating the procedures described in the easy to read text. It's a start, but soon the horse owner will be looking for something with more substance and detail that covers problems that are not addressed in this book. Rating: - Beginner's onlyI really feel this book is for beginner's only. It has nice close-up pictures to explain how to halter a horse...how to check it's fit. Shows types of ropes and snaps/attachments. How to tie up and teach your horse proper behavior. How to bathe and groom and clip. Also, how to care for mane and tail. Once you have done these activites once...you no longer need the book. However, there are those of us who HAVE NOT done it yet that need this as a reference. In association with Amazon.com | |
