Books for Prep

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent EKG text for all levels
I personally own three EKG texts, and have looked at several others. I can tell you that this one is the best (in my humble opinion of course). Dr. Dubin has a picture at the top of each page with a caption explaining the material. Underneath this picture and caption are fill in the blank sentences below (for review of course). Each page gives you new material while at the same time reviews past material. Learning be repetition, and it works!! This book has everything from learning how to read a basic EKG strip, to how to recognize bundle branch blocks, MI's, and PE's on a EKG strip. My nursing instructor referred to this book as, "The bible of EKG text books." You will be amazed at how quickly you will learn this material. Need I say more?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Rapid Interpretation of EKG's, Sixth edition
This book is really great at explaining the basics. Its a study guide in its self. It simplistic form makes EKG really easy to understand. I definately recommmend it!!

I have found this book makes learning EKG's super easy and fast. Wish I knew about this book years ago....Thanks Mr. Dubin...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must have!!!
There's a reason why everyone gets this book. Easy to read & understand, and it follows a step by step format that makes sense of the subject matter.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - well structured for learning
The structure of the book (illustration at the top of the page, FITB questions to the left answers to the right) lends itself to repetition and review of the material. The book itself is very well bound and constructed (for a paperback) with thick pages and vibrant color. The level of detail and well grounded review of EKG tracings allow you to better understand the physics behind the waves and build upon it to help understand the more complex topics to follow.

However, I have never read any other EKG books, so I cannot compare it with other texts. Also, even though I am only on chapter 5, alot of the material I have been exposed to through ACLS classes. Stay fresh my nuggs.
