 - Great BookThis is a great book for people with health concerns. No matter what your issue having a healthy gut will help your overall wellness. It's easy to read and to understand. This book helped me to trace the origins of my health problems and it got me wondering just which malady started first. Rating:  - Fantastic find!I have suffered from acid reflux for about seven years now and after following the recommendations in this book I have been off my medication and feeling better than I have in years. Highly recommend this book. Rating: - A Must Book for those with Gastrointestinal WoesThis book really helped me understand what was going on. Fiber, Fiber, Fiber. It is the cure all for so many gastrointestinal woes. I am so glad I bought this book. Along with physician advice, it helped cure my problems. Rating: - GUT SOLUTIONSI purchased this book at the suggestion of my husband. My mother recently had a serious illness and was hosiptalized for three days.This book would have helped me recognize her symptoms earlier and we might have averted an ER and Hospital stay all together. The information in this book is simple and easy to understand. The break-down of information is done very well and I find it extremely informative. Rating: - Major Health ImprovementThis book has REALLY improved my health. My five stars (I'd give ten, if allowed) is based first on the little information on p. 27 stating that certain medications (for me, beta blockers and calcium channel blockers) can relax the sphincter that allows acid to come up the esophagus. Changing my hypertension medication made all the difference in the world--essentially overnight. In addition I've much improved my digestion in general by following the fiber, oils, probiotics, and enzymes recommendations (although I've found other sources for these items than listed in the book). My only criticism is that the book's index is very, very weak. I'd recommend that you simply enter references there to any information that you believe that you'll probably want to find again.
