Books for Prep

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Must Have
What a great addition to the Blue Prints series. This tiny book teaches you step by step how to "play the game" of the Sim section of Step 3. If you can master this, the sim section will be a breeze...I had no surprises the day of the exam, and I thank this book for giving me the tools to crush it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Step 3 hopeful
Not only is this book concise and affordable, but it is also extremely helpful. I am writing this review after having taken step 3 and I can say that the content is a good reflection of the test. Good luck!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very effective book with great insight
This book was a great benefit and helped to first ease my fears of the CCS exam and second to prepare me for the actual questions. I highly recommend this book and best of luck to you on step 3.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It helps but not enough.
The purpose of this small booklet seems to be an introduction book to the exam takers for the new format of USMLE step 3, the CCS portion. This book is only good for the beginner who does not know the exam at all. This book gives more detail about how to do the CCS than that in the USMLE orientation material and Kaplan review. If you have no idea what CCS is, you may want to read this book. However, the CCS is far more complicated than that this book described. I wish it could give more details in the skills of using the CCS software and more cases for practice.
