Books for Prep

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ward Prep
As a third year medical student, this book offers a lot of hints and tid bits to guide you through your key rotations. I picked this up on the recommendation of one of my classmates in the class ahead of me... It is a very good book with excellent pictures and it is easy to use... I carry it with me at all times!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great!
A great pocket book for clinical rotations! Very precise outlined concepts! Love it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Book
It helps to get in shape for step 2 -3 and also briefly touches almost all things you will see on wards. 3rd Edition has also Pics and bigger letter size. I would consider the book as a must. Comes in also at a decent price.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Source - Easy Read
I used this book for Step2 CK. I had about a month to study, and read the book once in the first week and again skimmed it in the last few days. It reads relatively easily - though looks quite dense at first sight. Good charts/graphs. Did pretty well in the end, though don't know if it was the result of this book, Secrets, or the usmleworld qbank. But given the price, I think it's a great investment. Plus, I've heard it's great for Step 3 as well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cardiology a must to read from this book.
This book is amazing for USMLE Step 2CK. I used help me to get a 220 on the step 2. I love the appendix: Zebras + symdromes, Toxicology, Vit. + nutrition. It does have more information than First Aid, the cardiology part is EXCELLENT , know how to recognize murmurs! I like that they add case-based questions.
