Books for Prep

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good...but not the best.
This Physiology text is a great book for those studying mid and upper level human physiology. It has a very organized way of introducing the material and covers the topics well. Additionally, it makes good use of many clear cartoon illustrations of hard to memorize pathways and difficult to understand concepts.

That being said, the book lacks the detail that a medical or research physiologist would want to have. I have taken several physiology courses as both an undergraduate and graduate student and have found this text to be lacking when compared to that of Boron and Boulpaep. It doesn't cover the receptors in nearly as much detail, and many pathways are simply mentioned and never explained. If you really want to know what is going on, you would have to supplement this text (or to a degree any text) with a review of current journal materials.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Error: Above reviews are for a different book
Above reviews are associated with the WRONG book, an endocrinology text, not the physiology text sold at the top of the page.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Williams Textbook of Endocrinology

Excellent publication, very useful. Very recommended for those who require a broad vision of Endocrinology!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - fantastic book but.....
It's a very important refernced book abt. endocrinology.
I think , but it 's a personal opinion, more "easy to use" in comparison to Felig.
The only gap i've noted is in the chapters abt diabetes. The issues obviously are exlpained very in deep in every items but...the emergency care of the acute complications of the disease are quite superficial taking in account the standard of this prestigious textbook ( in this case it'd be simple to follow the raccomandation of the ADA for a evidence based care).

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT!
this book is perfect for practicing as well as studying postgraduation. a comprehensive volume on fundamental and advanced endo
