- Take a BIG BiteA close friend that I normally agree with on most everything told me that this cd was just not good. Well, I heard the first single (4 Minutes featuring Justin Timberlake) and loved it, so I thought, hey, it's on sale, why not give it a try and boy am I glad I did! I am one of the fans that love Madonna to be on the dancefloor and for her swan song for the WB folks thats exactly where she is: DANCING! All twelve tracks are very good, if you are one of her early fans and really miss the Clubbing Madge, well this is THE disc for you. Get you some Hard Candy and give it a good, long LICK! No calories involved. Rating: - Hard CandyMadonna Rocks, don't have to say much else, she is great and this albulm is full of fun, dance music. Rating: - Best Madonna CD since Ray Of LightI had basically wandered away from the Material Girl since her Ray of Light days. The Cd's since then have to me featured a good song or two but for the most part they felt lackluster and orchestrated for style more than substance. However Hard Candy sees Madonna back in fighting form. Now let's be honest. Madonna has never been the best singer in the world, but she does have an uncanny ability to reinvent herself and to make music that is infused with danceability, and fun. On Hard Candy she proves that she still has the stuff to rule the charts. The lyrics here are good, the beats are off-the-chain, and almost from beginning to end there is a consistency of high quality production that recent Madonna CD's have been missing. I absolutely love Hard Candy I hope that the next CD is as good or better. Rating: - great cdI think this album is great... with a twist of Hip Hop feat. kanye west and pharrell and of course timberlake! Rating: - Not for early fans of Madonna. This was purchased without having heard any of the tracks as I am a big Madonna fan and have loved her music throughout the decades. However, I was in for a big surprise after listening thoroughly to this album. The style is far from any of her previous material and seems to have been heavily influenced by contributing artist Justin Timberlake. Those having heard Timberlake's material and not having liked it will probably not like this album. I realize that this may not apply to everyone. However, if you are buying album expecting it to be like previous material released by Madonna, take a listen first before buying. In association with Amazon.com | |
