![]() Rating: - Rapid Review Strikes...An okay bookNeuroscience is a difficult subject to master and many books do a poor job of teaching it and an even worse job of applying it clinically. This book is the lesser of two evils. It delivers the material that you need to know in a bullet point format that is typical of other review books, but it tends to add in more clinically relevant material than other neuroscience review books. It includes info on sleeping and comatose patients that is scantly found in other books, but very useful information ... Read More Rating: - Great addition to First AidFirst aid really lacks neuroscience! Plus, if it is in there, it is not well organized. This book organizes the info and makes a neuro review much more managable. Rating: - Great quick review materialsI actually had Dr. Gallman (the author) as my neuro professor and purchased this book for the great review questions - they are at a slightly higher level than what the boards will test you on, so they serve as excellent prep material. Highly recommended. Rating: - med studentThis was an excellent review of neuroscience for a medical student. The level of detail was in between a textbook and an outline and useful for looking up terms and concepts that had become fuzzy. The index is thorough. The graphics are simple but clear and use multiple colors. In association with Amazon.com | |
