It gave me hope, and a reason to take good care of my body, as the horrible side effects (neuropathy, retinopathy, etc.) are NOT inevitable! The author does a great job of explaining research and every aspect of diabetes in a way that the average person can understand. This should be required reading for any person diagnosed with diabetes.
