This is a nicely written book by two heavyweights. It has a complete coverage of risk and odds ratios, confounding, the Mantel-Haenszel procedure, and conditional and unconditional logistic regression.

Readers beware! The book is fairly technical and quite authoritative. It is aimed at more sophisticated readers, although I do believe that even starters could learn one or two things from it (to say the least).
